It is a shame to think of SCP as ‘ended’ rater than ‘indefinitely on hiatus’.
I appreciate your move to the longer form, and I really loved ‘Tinker’. But every so often, an idea is bound to pup up that really suits the short form of SCP – sometime less *is* more.
I would hate to see you pumping out SCP stips when your heart’s not there – creating that many self contained mini-stories, expressed so succintly, is surprisingly hard work, and that you managed it consistently for so long leaves a body of work to be truly proud of.
I’m just hoping you don’t feel too proud to return if the right muse strikes. I can rest easy if SCP is ‘sleeping’, I have a real sense of loss if the final chapter has been told.
I’m glad that you liked SCP so much. I’m sure that I’ll return to the short form from time to time. Probably after I get sick of working on multi-month epics.
I’m very upset that this comic is ending just when I added the feed. This bothers me very much.
So … now that SCP is over, can you tell us what happened to the little red robot who needed a job to earn buss fare to the recycling depot?
Did he successfully recycle himself?
I think I had vague plans to make him meet a street-smart buddy robot, and then turn it into a “road movie”.
There’s a reason I didn’t finish that story
